Dublin Parks and Recreation
It would be difficult to find a "greener" city than Dublin, Ohio.
Dublin offers more than 1,500 acres of parkland with 41 developed parks ranging from wooded natural areas and river frontage to intensely active athletic facilities. The parks are linked by 88 miles of integrated bike paths.
Certain parks have facilities such as shelter houses that can be reserved for social events or corporate outings.
Some of the city's unique parks and recreation areas include:
Coffman Park
Home to the Dublin Irish Festival, this large 46-acre park features two playgrounds, lighted tennis and basketball courts, a seasonal ice rink, an outdoor amphitheater and Coffman Pavilion (a meeting facility enclosed on three sides with two fireplaces and more, seats 50 people). The amphitheater offers a raised wooden stage, electricity and grass tiers for seating.
Scioto Park
This riverfront park is home to the Dublin Arts Council's Chief Leatherlips sculpture, part of the "Art in Public Places" series. The park offers three shelters (seat up to 50 guests), an outdoor amphitheater (with electricity), an ADA fishing pier, a playground, a large sledding hill and wooded areas.
Avery Road Park
This 73-acre park is home to the Out of Bounds sculpture, part of the "Art in Public Places" series. A new playground area, a shelter house, lighted tennis and basketball courts, softball diamonds, multipurpose playing fields and more.
Glacier Ridge Metro Park
This large and unique park features a wind turbine, a Wind & Solar Learning Center, bridle trails and unloading paddock, multi-use trails, picnic areas, a shelter and more.
