Kelton House Museum & Garden

The Kelton House Museum is a grand Victorian townhome where you can experience urban life and decor from the late 19th century. A stop on the Underground Railroad, this gracious property also features a Victorian garden with Crabapple trees, hedges and statuary work. The garden setting and townhome can accomodate up to 150 guests for a storybook garden wedding. The Kelton House Museum is open for drop-in tours and group tours. 

Special Events and Weddings
The historic Kelton House Museum & Garden is not only a reflection of the Victorian past, but it provides a gorgeous setting for a wedding ceremony under the pergola. Venture into the Carriage House for an intimate dinner or have your guests seated outside in the garden area.The venue can accommodate banquets of up to 140 guests depending on the season. The Kelton House allows licensed caterers.

Kelton House is shown during the week by appointment to groups of six or more. You can enjoy an audio tour without a reservation.

Hours
Sunday Tour Hours - 1 to 4 p.m.
Docent-led tours begin at 1, 2, and 3 p.m.
Audio tours are available Sunday from 1-4 p.m.
Last audio tour begins no later than 2:45 p.m.

Monday-Friday Tour Hours - 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Audio tours are available anytime between 10 a.m. and last audio tour begins no later than 2:45 p.m.

Underground Railroad Tour
In Central Ohio, the Underground Railroad route went north from the Ohio River through Columbus, north to Lake Erie and on to Canada. The Kelton House was one of several safehouses or stations along East Town Street in Columbus. Underground Railroad Learning Station group tours are by reservation only.

Audio Tours
Audio tours are available without reservations.
The audio tour will lead you through the six restored rooms. You will learn about life in mid-19th-century central Ohio by seeing the extensive collection of original Kelton family furniture, decorative accessories, artwork and personal items.  

Kelton House Seasonal Tours & Events: December Open House 
True to Victorian custom, the Kelton House is decked out in its holiday best. Table top trees, an abundance of hanging garland and specialty decorations make a lasting memory.
Docent-guided tour available from 12 noon to 2 p.m. on Fridays in December 
Audio-Guided tour available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m (Monday-Friday) and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays in December

Tour Costs 
$6.00 per adult; $4.00 per senior citizen; $2.00 per child 6 - 18 years old
