Plan on exploring Dublin.
Your group can take advantage of special experiences the Dublin CVB has created for them to enjoy. Below is a sample 3-day Itinerary that highlights a few favorite group activities. Each activity can be customized and the Bureau will gladly work with your group to develop new experiences.
DAY 1:
Morning.
FourLeaf Clover Irish Scavenger Hunt in Historic Dublin. Discover cultural tidbits about Dublin, Ohio and Dublin Ireland while wandering the quaint shops of the historic district. Search for trivia answers while learning about Celtic collectibles, visiting an Irish imports shop, tasting Irish tea and sampling chocolates. The winner of the game earns an Irish Goodie Basket! $17/pp. 2 hours.
Lunch.
Sushi 101. Discover the fine art of preparing and savoring this centuries old style of Japanese cuisine—from traditional items like Salmon or Eel Nigiri to modern selections like Vegetable Salad Dressing Rolls or Guacamole Gunkan. Meet an experienced master chef demonstrate the art of sushi making as he shares a little history. Enjoy a buffet of sushi selections, served with spring water and green tea. $15/pp. 1 hour.
Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams. Complete lunch with an afternoon sweet treat in Historic Dublin. Developed by Columbus’ own, Jeni Britton Bauer, Jeni’s creations have received international acclaim and uses local Ohio ingredients. Try flavors like Wildberry Lavender, Rockmill Golden Ale & Apricots and Salty Caramel.
Afternoon.
Irish dance 101. What’s a reel? How did Irish step dancing evolve into the celebrated “Riverdance” style recognized today? Meet a professional Irish dance instructor and learn the answers to these questions—as well as a few traditional steps. Classes taught at one of the foremost Irish dance schools in North America. One hour.
Piatt Castles—MacACheek and MacOChee. Take your group to view two majestic castles, built by two brothers. The private, familyowned museum interprets over 200 years of history of the Ohio land and people.
Dinner.
Digger & Finch Scottish Grill & Pub. You’ll feel as though you are visiting the British Isles when you dine at this lovely castle-like restaurant/pub. Choose from Irish, Scottish and American favorites. (The Dublin CVB can help arrange VIP entertainment such as Irish dancers and a fiddler. Additional costs apply. Ask

DAY 2:
Morning.
Franklin Park Conservatory. Your Irish adventure continues with a trip to downtown Columbus to discover a world of green. Explore the unique botanical collections and Dale Chihuly sculptures in a friendly and historic setting which preserves tradition and provides a refuge for the soul. Ask about the “handson” classes.
Lunch.
Historic Morgan House. Savor a homemade lunch served near a roaring fire in a log cabin setting.
Specialties include quiche of the day, Morgan House soup and freshly made pies. After lunch, shop three floors of gifts, antiques, gourmet foods, furniture and more.
Afternoon.
Polar Paradise Experience at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. Continue your
“world class” education with a visit to the #1 Zoo in the country (USA Travel
Guide.) Enjoy a guided walking tour with a Zoo expert, soaking up facts and stories about the Zoo’s famous polar bear sisters, as well as brown bears and arctic foxes. Savor a cool treat before departing. $11.50/pp includes admission, ice cream treat and walking tour. 2 hours. Upgrade your experience to include Breakfast or a Lunch with the Animals! Dinner.
Oscar’s Restaurant. Clean up and prepare yourself for a fine dining experience. Select from Chef-driven dishes such as Oscar’s famous veal, walleye, or New York Strip while you relax in a rustic, upscale environment. The private wine room can host up to 30 people.
DAY 3:
Morning/Lunch.
Rothschild Berry Farm. After breakfast, set off for a tour the famous farm. The awardwinning
product line includes preserves, mustards, salsas, dressings, vinegars, and oils all of which are produced from the 51,000 square foot Central Ohio facility.
Experience the worldrenowned gourmet foods (like the Emerald Isle Horseradish!) Then, enjoy a delicious gourmet lunch on the premises.
