Exhibit: Atusko Tajima: Transformations   5/19/2009 through 7/17/2009
Paintings created on kiln-formed glass, inspired by a child-like desire to preserve paintings in the air. The spatial presence and mysterious forms cast reflections of light and shadow. Elusive details, enabled by a three-dimensional surface and a variety of pigments, appear and hide within each piece. The artist's process renders paintings that appear to glow as if they were lit from within.

Family Nights at the Zoo   6/24/2009 through 8/19/2009
Each Wednesday night June 24 through Aug. 19, the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium will stay open late for the fifth annual Family Nights at the Zoo. Special Zoo programming and many other fun activities geared toward families spice up these summer evenings. 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Water's Edge Events Park located along the banks of the Scioto River.

Independence Day Celebration   7/4/2009
Don't miss Dublin's celebration featuring a free concert by The Four Tops & Boyz II Men. The festivities start at 10am with the 25th Annual Sherm Sheldon Fishing Derby, followed by a huge community-wide parade at 11am that marches through Dublin's Historic District. The concert gates at Dublin Coffman High School open at 4:30pm with activities for all ages. 5pm brings the Skyhoundz Hyperflite Canine Frisbee Disc Championship. Enjoy live music all evening followed by fireworks at 9:50pm.

Chihuly Reimagined   7/4/2009 through 3/28/2010
Franklin Park conservatory's signature collection of Dale Chihuly artworks will be on view along with new work by this world-renowned glass artist. Originally exhibited in 2003-2004 and viewed by more than 300,000 visitors, the works will be placed throughout the conservatory's glasshouses amongst the plant collections.
